CONTINUES TO AMAZE

Just thought to drop you a line to say that the latest version of PowerBASIC for Windows is indeed great. I particularly like the small EXE sizes it generates which can be easily shared, and the speed of execution of compiled code continues to amaze me.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a version of PowerBASIC for Linux?

PowerBASIC for Linux is under development, and it's quite a high priority for us. However, we maintain a strict "No Vaporware" policy, so more details are not available at this time. Please watch our web site at www.powerbasic.com as info will be posted there as soon as it's available.

What is Vaporware?

Vaporware is software or hardware that is announced or mentioned publicly in order to influence customers to defer buying competitors' products.

When will PowerBASIC for Linux be ready for sale?

We do not announce products or dates in advance of when they are actually available. Companies and individuals often make business decisions based on the availability of the tools they will need to do a certain task. When a projected date slips, the consequences are not only disappointing, they are costly. It is for this reason that PowerBASIC has a strict "No Vaporware" policy. We will not even provide estimated times. When a product is ready for distribution it is announced on our web site and through our Free Newsletter. If you are not yet on our email list just click the Free Newsletter button above! Your information will not be sold or given to any other party.
