I used to play on-line until I encountered a bunch of "snot nosed kids who thought they were 'God's gift to the World'" who thought nothing of cheating any way they could. They did a fine job of convincing me to quit playing on-line. I can definitely say that Republic Commando has a single player mode, I know because I've played it.
