Paul,

I think you have a Trader Joe's or two in your city. Check them out for some really good packaged and fresh food. I think you'll enjoy the experience.

You can't delete it but I see an option that should prevent you from posting under your present login.

1. Go to the forums' home - click the big PowerBASIC in the U/L corner
2. Click Profile and login to make changes
3. Enter a bogus email address
4. Enter a password but do not view it
5. Click on Submit Modifications
6. Close your browser

If executed without viewing your new password, you should be self-banned!
Good luck with your banishing endeavor.

Looking into this GI thing I see we also have a GL ie glycemic load

It seems to me that GL is effectively the level of GI saturation got from GL = GI * AC / 100
where AC is the available carbohydrate per serving.

Given our interest in both a low GI and a low GL gives then an interest in a low GI * GL
which will lead to cumbersome figures and may be better considered by a geometric computation
of sqrt( GI * GL ).

From Shawn's link we get 15.5 for apples and 21.4 for carrots.

So, 4 * apples is about 3 * carrots - better news for my carrot intake.

Further research shows that the carrots figures are with regard to Canada. Romania,
on the other hand, gives GI = 16 and GL = 0.7 ie sqrt( GI * GL ) = 3.3.

In this case we now have carrots knocking seven bells out of apples.

The rule of thumb seems to be GI < 55 is low and GL < 10 is low giving then a geometric
figure of 23 is low.

This subject is knew to me but I see there is a large database out there of GI and GL.

I may consider looking at preparing a table of sqrt( GI * GL ) unless someone beats me to it.

Simplified Eating Rules:

1. Eat whatever you want, whenever you want, as long as you do so "in moderation"
2. You are going to die anyway. We all do.

Not me, man. I'm gonna defy the odds and live forever. Just watch!

I plan on releasing SocketTools Library Edition Version 52.5 when PowerBASIC 78 is released on March 5th, 2194. It's right here, on my to-do list.

Paul,
I suggest that you change your password to something completely unrelated to any other password you use.
Once changed, start an auction among forum readers and give the new password to the highest bidder. I suspect you have an opportunity to make some real money by selling the privilege to disable your ability to post further.

Thanks for reading my post.

Paul definitely has some uniqueness that he should be more at ease with.
The trick of the personality trade is to be in touch with one's feelings
and quirks. It is much easier to deal with the effects a quirk has if
its onset is realized early on and one forces himself/herself to stop the
effect of such quirk before it looms too ominous.

o Don't NOT look into the eyes of a passerby. That could save your life someday.

o A simple, unthreatening and unchallenging greeting can kindle even a cold, cold heart.

o Greet every babe you meet with a simple, pleasant "hello". Most babes are inherently
shy except for the skinny models who have issues they deal with constantly and are usually stressed.

o Don't be denied! Most of those babes will smile back and respond. Keep a "batting average". 40% positive response is great!
I'd put money on more like 75% to 90% is you look between their eyes, smile warmly and greet with non-Italian brevity.
In other words do not greet with "Hiya doing? You're looking like a million bucks today".
On the surface that seems ok. To the average mentally ill lady, it becomes "Hi. How are you now? Your appearance is much easier on the eyes than it was yesterday".

Oh, and most woman don't like being referred to as 'babes' or 'chicks' or some other names that are best left to other web sites

Why qualify with "mentally ill" unless an average lady is
assumed to be mentally ill?

ROFL. And just the other day, there was this discussion here about the lack of women in the programming profession. Somehow, I can't help but correlate these two topics.
